Class Descriptions

Self Practice:@For those with their own established practice or those wishing to establish a regular practice the studio space is open between 7am and 10am. *Note yoga instruction is given only on Tuesdays.

Hatha Yoga Basics: In this class we Learn the basics of yoga asana (pose) focus on the use of the breathe and proper posture to aid in the flow of energy through the Nadis (meridians) with the purpose of enhancing the healthful benefits of a balanced yoga practice on the body and mind.

Ashtanga Yoga:This class is open to all levels beginners are welcome. Class content will vary according to the level of the students attending.

Pre-natal Yoga:A gentle yoga practice to promote circulation and address some of the issues which arise during pregnancy.

AshtangaYoga Beginners:This class is especially suited to the beginner level student who wishes to practice an energetic style of yoga. In this class we learn the Ashtanga yoga primary series starting with Sun salutations and adding poses as the the class progresses. The use of bandha (energy locks), and breathing techniques will also be covered in this class.

Ashtanga Yoga Half Primary:Ashtanga yoga primary series up unto Navasana (boat pose).

Restorative Yoga:In this class with the aid of yoga props we learn to relax and restore energy to both body and mind. Join this class for stress relief and to increased energy. Learn essential techniques for self de stressing.

Asana Pranayama Pratiyahara:This class starts with an asana practice warming, toning and preparing the body and mind for sitting, followed by basic yogic breathing techniques which help focus the awareness followed by a period of sitting turning the awareness inside. This is a complete Yoga practice designed to prepare the student for meditation.
